The magnificent glass and iron greenhouse was designed in the Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) style, and built between 1901 and 1907.
The left part of the Palmenhaus building houses the Schmettlerlinghaus, the imperial butterfly garden with tropical butterflies exotic plants.
