The Magic Fountain is a must visit attraction of Barcelona. Its evening shows are a spectacular display of colour, light, motion, music and water acrobatics. Even when the show is off, the fountain is still impressive and its surroundings extravagant. Built on the slopes of Montjuïc hill, at the foot of the Palau Nacional, the fountain is surrounded by the pavilions of the Barcelona Fair and other monumental buildings, sculptures and lush park, and overlooking the equally monumental Plaça d’Espanya.

Built for the Universal Exposition of 1929, it took over 3000 workers a year to complete this extravagant fountain!
