The Motto am Fluss is a café and restaurant with a cosmopolitan style, serving international contemporary cuisine with an Austrian focus. It is located at the iconic boat-shaped landing stage of the Twin-City Liner in one of the most fascinating quarters of the city – on the banks of the Danube Canal, in the heart of Vienna.
Live sounds from varying DJs ensure a relaxed atmosphere up on deck.
The restaurant was designed by BEHF Architects and fashioned in the Venetian style of the 1950s. The café and sun terrace are on the upper deck.

A calm oasis in the middle of Vienna– the café has a large terrace and a view as far as the Kahlenberg. Fresh preparation and organic produce take priority – the menu has breakfast highlights, healthy bistro dishes and desserts from our in-house patisserie. In addition, there are fresh smoothies, home-made lemonade and home-baked bread.
The elegant lounge atmosphere turns the restaurant with its large sliding windows overlooking the river into one of the town’s hot spots.
At midday they also serve the popular business lunch in addition to the à la carte dishes. The bar is a popular meeting point for after-work and pre-party guests. The extra room provides the perfect setting for private receptions, dinner invitations, parties and press conferences.
