Not only is the church of the Minorites spectacular from the outside, the interior of this architectural treasure is just as worth visiting. If nothing else, because of a high detail mosaic of Da Vinci’s Last Supper, commissioned by Napoleon.<\/p>\n
The Gothic style church was built on the site given to followers of Francis of Assisi in 1224.\u00a0Premysl Ottokar II laid the foundation stone in the late 13. century. The bell tower was damaged in the first and second Austro-Turkish wars, after which it was left flat. In the 18. century, the church underwent a baroque facelift.<\/p>\n
