Mariahilfer street

Mariahilfer Strasse Shopping Street

Lined with beautiful buildings, many shops and cafes and slightly less crowded than the central streets of the old town, Mariahilfer Straße is Austria’s longest shopping street.

In Mariahilfer Straße you can shop at world famous brand stores, as well as in tiny local shops featuring all kinds of interesting stuff. The street stretches 1,6 kilometers (1 mile) from the Museumsquartier on the Ringstraße to the Westbahnhof train station. The locals also call it “Mahü”.

If you have enough time, make sure to visit the neighbouring streets too.

District: 6 (Mariahilf)
UBahn: U2 (Museumsquartier), U3 – (Westbahnhof, Neubaugasse, Volkstheater)
