Barcelona has been nominated as the best beach city in the world. 4,5 kilometres of seafront are divided in seven beaches, each with its own charm and facilities.<\/div>\n

Lined with chiringuitos that offer snacks and drinks during the day and fiesta as the sun goes down, beach volley and other beach sports, there’s something for every taste.<\/p>\n

The summer beach season in Barcelona is usually from mid-April<\/strong> until<\/span><\/span> the end of September<\/strong>. Some years, the season goes from late March to November.<\/p>\n

The beaches from the city centre towards the Forum square are: Sant Sebastia, Barceloneta beach, Bogatell, Nova Icaria, Mar Bella beach (nudist part<\/strong>), Nova Mar Bella, Llevant.<\/p>\n

There are many beautiful beaches in coastal towns surrounding Barcelona worth exploring, many accessible by train: Sitges, Castelldefels, St Pol de Mar<\/span>…<\/div>Read more<\/a>\n

Tip:<\/strong> the farther you go from the city centre and port, the less crowded the beaches are.<\/div>\n
