Plaça de Catalunya or Plaza de Catalunña is the main square in Barcelona, a major transportation hub and shopping area. The most popular streets of the city, Las Ramblas and the Passeig de Gracia meet here. The square is surrounded by beautiful Art Deco buildings, and its centre is adorned by fountains and sculptures.
A Turist Info Point is located at one corner of the square, towards Portal de l’Àngel street.
Two large shopping centers are located here: El Corte Ingles and FNAC, as well as many shops and boutiques on the square and the surrounding streets.
The train station below Plaça de Catalunya is one of the most important hubs for local and regional trains and metro.
